Something tells me it isn't carpal tunnel...

Late last year I was diagnosed as having carpal tunnel syndrome as both of my wrists were hurting. But now I am beginning to think that that diagnosis was an easy out, or at least the one with the least amount of effort on the doctor I saw at the time. You see now my elbows and my ankles have joined in on the fun!!! So now I'm thinking that some sort of arthritis is more likely. From the descriptions I've read, osteoarthritis is the most likely candidate, as it affects the joints. Which is exactly what's bothering me.
This afternoon I took the kiddos to the library park to meet a friend and her son. They played for a while and then we decided to go check out the old cabins and schoolhouse at the museum next door. All the walking around and holding the water bottles, caused both my ankles and my wrists to hurt and I couldn't wait to get in the car and sit down again. Of course lately holding the steering wheel can cause my fingers to go numb if I hold the steering wheel too tightly. Even now typing is not all that comfortable. So I guess I should sign off......
All I really know is I'm falling apart and I don't like it one bit!!! }:(

Slip slidin' away....

Slip Slidin' Away
Slip Slidinn'Away
You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away
We were so dang close to having Little Man completely potty trained, but now it seems like it's all slip slidin' away!!! In the past week he's peed and pooped in his pants more often than he's used the toilet. I can't for the life of me come with any good reason as to why. We haven't had any big changes like moving or new family members (thank goodness). But we did have a visit from my SIL and her daughter last weekend. SweetPea, as I'll call my niece, is just over 18 months old and still very much in diapers. We had a great time with them, but I have to wonder if Little Man didn't see SweetPea getting her diaper changed and decided to regress. But I can't understand why he'd do that, they were only here 3 days and before they came we all made such a big deal out of him using the toilet that he would get so proud when he did.
Hmmm, maybe that's it. We used to make such a big deal out of him using the toilet that maybe our lack of excitement when he uses it now is what's causing him to backpedal.
I dunno, all I do know is I need to get more Pull-Ups now and I'm probably going to get some "incentive" for him, like Hershey's Kisses or something like that to give him whenever he uses the toilet in hopes of re-encouraging him to use the toilet. I have a ton of underwear for him, so that's not a big deal, but I don't have many shorts that are easy to pull down, so I can't keep up with his constant soiling of his shorts.
There are times I am tempted to let him just sit in his soiled underpants, but then I'd have to keep him outside as I sure as heck don't want him sitting my furniture with poopy or wet underpants!!!! What's a girl to do??? If you have any suggestions, please, Please, PLEASE leave them for me!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm P-O-O-P-E-D, pooped!!!!

Heaven help me, I'm so not liking getting older. I have been doing some painting today and man my hands are aching. I have carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, which is not only odd because I don't do any repetitive motion on a daily basis, but it's also annoying because apparently it can cause hand discomfort. UGH!!! So holding a paint brush and a paint roller just made my hands ache something awful. But the painting needs to be done and my dear sweet hubby already works his butt off at two jobs, so I thought I could do the painting. However I guess I'm just going to have to pace myself so I don't end up with continually achy hands.
Okay, well this is going to be a short post as I've already mentioned my hands are achy! So until next time.......

If it's not one, it's another

Well the rain stopped but now we have the heat. Guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, eh? The visit with my SIL went well and I am missing my niece something awful. I was able to get the house clean but now I've created a whole new mess for myself. I moved all three kids into the same bedroom and now have the extra room to turn into a guest room. This means I need to clean out the room of the straggler toys and objects belonging to Peaches, who last occupied the room. This also means that I have to finish cleaning out the toys from the room of Little Man and Tink. I'm going to enforce the rule of no toys in the bedroom in hopes of keeping all the toys in one room and making it easier to contain the mess that goes along with them.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Whew I crack myself up. I have absolutely no hope of containing the mess that goes along with toys until all those blasted toys are out of my house. I already have about 6 boxes of toys to donate and I'm sure I'll have more once I go through the toys I pulled out of Little Man and Tink's room. My children are creative and resourceful so I'm sure they don't NEED all these toys and it would sure make my life easier to not have so many laying around.

Well I think I'll sign off now and go find a cooler spot in the house. I hate to turn on the A/C because of the cost of running it, but I guess everyone has their limits as far as heat goes and I'm about to hit mine as I CANNOT sleep in heat, hence the reason I moved my bed in front of the window and try to sleep with it open. Why do I say "try" you ask? Well there is a train track near our house and inevitably the train goes by right as I'm falling asleep and it blares it's horn like it's trying to wake the dead. So I TRY to sleep with the window, but most nights it doesn't happen. Oh well it's a nice though to sleep with cool fresh air coming in but I guess I'll have to move further away from the train track to do so......

Rain rain go away...

....come again another day
I've got too much to do today!!!

My SIL is coming tomorrow with her little one for a visit and this blasted rain is just taking all the oomph out of me to get the house finished. Mainly it's because the kids are couped up inside and that makes it hard to clean when they are constantly making a mess. Also I can't go out and clean out my car as who really wants to clean out a car when it's raining out. I was so hoping the rain would stop in the afternoon but here we are at 1 o'clock and it's still going strong. It NEVER usually rains like this here, I mean I don't ever recall it doing this before and we've lived here over 4 1/2 years now. Of course just because it hasn't happened in the last 4 1/2 years doesn't mean it CAN'T happen, but why does it have to happen TODAY?????
Okay enough complaining time to get my laundry moving, hopefully I'll get at least that done and put away today. Don't want every one's underwear sitting on the sofa when my SIL comes!!!!
